Our condo deal closed as scheduled last Friday. Kelly and I are travelling to Sarasota later this week for a couple of days just to tidy up a couple of details and have a look around the complex again.

My wife and I have talked for years about investing in FLA and saw an advertisement for Florida Home Finders. We signed up on the site and attended a seminar late in 2012. With what we have heard about other organizations dealing with Florida property for Canadians we were a little skeptical going into the seminar. I just had the privilege of attending your seminar. You have definitely calmed my anxiety about purchasing in FLA. What I really got out of your seminar was that my wife and I were going about it all wrong. We were thinking short-term not long term. We are both mid-late 30's with 2 beautiful girls. We are not made of money and cannot afford a place to remain empty or have the time to hassle with renters. We would love to work with FHFC to purchase a tenanted property. Seeing as we don't plan on retiring for some time, location isn't really a big deal. What we would like is your FHFC's opinion on a well run, tenant occupied property that will generate a nice income for a long time. I recently purchased a 2BR condo in Fort Myers and the rental income from my tenant is more than covering my monthly expenses. Having attended a seminar over the winter, FHFC impressed me with their lack of sales pressure and their ability to answer everyone's questions.
